Developed in collaboration with Conservation International, C.A.F.E Practices is a verification program that measures farms against economic, social and environmental criteria, all designed to promote transparent, profitable and sustainable coffee growing while protecting and supporting to the farmer’s community their benefits and interests.

The program includes a third-party verification process that is overseen by SCS Global Services, ensuring the quality and integrity of the audits.

Farmer Support Center (FSC)
Starbucks offices dedicated to supporting coffee farmers and their communities. FSC agronomists and quality experts work with farmers to develop responsible methods to grow better coffee, improve the quality and size of harvests, manage cost of production and help implement C.A.F.E. Practices. There are currently nine FSCs in key coffee-growing regions.
